Multi-faith project wins green community award
6 April 2011

The Birmingham Faith & Climate Change Project has received more recognition for its inspirational grassroots campaigning.

The Faith and Climate Change Project was one of several winners at the Making Birmingham Green Community Awards, alongside other local green initiatives, such as the Sustainable Moseley project which helped people in Moseley install renewable energy systems, and the Northfield Eco-Centre.

The Birmingham Faith and Climate Change Project (run under the umbrella of Birmingham Friends of the Earth) has been supporting faith groups in environmental and sustainable activities since 2006. It's now looking to expand and become an organisation in its own right.

Birmingham City Councillor Paul Tilsley described the project as "inspirational".
