The Festival
The National Youth Film Festival takes place at venues across the UK this October and November. The festival hopes to reach out to over 250,000 young people - aged 5 -19 - with a variety of free films. They'll also learn about film-making and meet industry professionals.
What's on
Friends of the Earth will present More Than Honey (2013) and Chasing Ice (2012).
More Than Honey is a fascinating documentary about why bees are facing extinction. Oscar-nominated director Markus Imhoof investigates honeybee colonies around the world. It's on general release this September.
Chasing Ice is the story of one man's mission to gather evidence of climate change. See National Geographic photographer James Balog's extraordinary footage of receding glaciers in the Arctic.
