New Big Ask materials1 January 2007
Last year was an amazing sucess for The Big Ask. The Government responded to us and announced it would introduce a Climate Change Bill.
The challenge for 2007 is to make sure that the Bill is strong enough. It needs to include annual targets to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. It must also enforce these targets to make sure they are actually met.
Last year the majority of MPs supported these proposals. This year we need to keep them to their word.
Spreading the word
Numbers count and we need your help. We have lots of materials just waiting to be used:
- Postcards
A simple postcard to send to your MP to ask for their continued support. Stuck for conversation over the kettle at work? Why not take in a stack and ask colleagues to sign up too. - Booklets
To supplement the postcards we have a stash of Big Ask booklets. These contain an easy to read introduction to what the campaign is all about. - Badges
Kids love badges. As do a surprising number of adults. Let us know if you'd like some Big Ask badges to help spread the word.
