Not at Glastonbury? Then sign our new petition
Signing our new energy saving petition might not be quite as much fun as going to Glastonbury.
But if like me you're stuck in the office while friends head to Worthy Farm, console yourself with these five benefits of not going:
- The weather forecast is predictably iffy.
- Helping build a big petition during the closing stages of the Energy Bill will help put pressure on Government to cut carbon in our villages, towns and cities.
- You're not in a tent.
- You'll be building on success. Our supporters' actions have already helped remove a nuclear loophole from the Energy Bill.
- You can always go somewhere else instead - after signing the petition of course. I've opted for a week of cycling in Scotland.
So what are you waiting for? Sign the petition and enjoy not being at Glastonbury.
Or if you are, grab a smartphone and sign it anyway.
My colleague Liz offers more on the ins and outs of the Energy Bill here.
