Sign up for safer energy
16 March 2011

As the full extent of the earthquake and tsunami disaster unfolds, our thoughts are with the people affected by the catastrophe in Japan.

Our own Government has now launched a welcome review of the UK's nuclear safety.

Now is the time to send them a clear message - that nuclear is a gamble we don't need to take. We can meet our energy needs with clean and safe alternatives.

Sign our online petition here - and please help by passing it on to all your family, friends and other contacts.

You can also read more about our position on a safer energy future here.

Paper template of the petition - for use on stalls:

We're aware that groups have stall and events coming up where you may want to collect signatures for the petition. We'd urge you first off to push the online petition as the main focus and top priority.

However, if you'd like to provide a paper copy, use this printable version.

Please note, we may need to collect in these petitions very rapidly when the key moment is identified to deliver the petition so you may want to consider these alternatives:

  • Have something that highlights the petition and then point people straight to www.foe.co.uk/saferenergy to sign it online
  • Or instead of a paper petition, you could collect email addresses of people that want to sign the petition and then email them the link later.

You can send paper petitions back to us at: Nuclear Petition, Friends of the Earth, 26-28 Underwood Street, London, N1 7JQ.
