The Children's Eyes on Earth - new photo competition
Children are the future, so who better to shine the light on things affecting that future?
Children are perceptive in a way adults often aren't. In my experience as a photographer, giving a child a camera proves just this. My nieces and godchildren often take the most interesting photographs, even if it's just because their height gives them a different slant on the world.
This is why I'm really excited about The Children's Eyes on Earth International Youth Photography Contest. We don't always give voice to children's thoughts, so this new initiative to give kids a platform for their vision of the world should be inspiring.
The deadline for entries is 15 September so please spread the word. There will be a public vote, so adults don't need to feel left out.
I can't wait to see the results and I'll report back to you with the winners.
