Power Up 201019 January 2010
Power Up is a Friends of the Earth's unique training weekend on the planning system and your legal rights to help you improve your local community.
Get the knowledge, confidence and contacts to use the system and make a difference where you live. You'll leave feeling inspired and energised - ready to apply new skills to your local issues.
Power Up is run by the Rights and Justice team at Friends of the Earth. Watch our short video to find out more:
Who is Power Up for?
You don't need to be an expert, but you'll be active and keen to make your area a fairer, cleaner and healthier place to live.
If you're already involved in a local campaign and want to make sure you're using your rights effectively, then Power Up is for you. Power Up is particularly for people working in disadvantaged areas and with groups whose voices are not usually heard in decision making.
Power Up is run for individuals and groups who wouldn't otherwise be able to get this support.
Places are given to those who need them most. Please pass on information about Power Up to anyone who you think would find it useful.
