Pressure grows on Energy Bill Committee MPs
14 June 2011

Stratford-on-Avon Friends of the Earth and Dudley Friends of the Earth have lobbied their MPs on the Energy Bill.

Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-on-Avon, and Margot James, MP for Stourbridge, are both members of the Energy Bill Committee.

And they both have the opportunity to influence the debate.

The local groups organised the meetings to put pressure on MPs in the committee to support three key amendments.

A stronger Energy Bill will lead to:

  • Big cuts in climate changing emissions
  • Warmer homes and cheaper fuel bills
  • Tens of thousands of new jobs

Take action

All over the country, MPs are being challenged to vote for a strong Energy Bill.

Please join the campaign and ask your MP to support a strong Energy Bill now.
