Prix Pictet photo exhibition coming to London
The Prix Pictet has announced its competition shortlist. It's the world's leading prize in photography and sustainability. This year's theme is Power.
This is one of my favourite events because we're so rarely treated to photographs of this quality highlighting such important issues.

Robert Adams' series Turning Back documents the deforestation of the American Northwest. It's a timely reminder that we all need to look after our forests.

Daniel Beltra's Spill images depict the world's largest marine oil spill - the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico. These images have that unnerving ability to convey devastation in a beautiful way.

Carl De Keyzer's Moments before the Flood explores Europe's defunct coastal defences. This work provokes thought on how Europe might deal with the threat of a dramatic rise in sea levels.
Most exciting of all is that the Prix Pictet exhibition will be held in London this year, at the Saatchi gallery from 10-28 October 2012. I'll be going - hope I can inspire some of you to join me.
