Local groups support renewable energy
25 November 2008

Local campaigners have been busy over the last few weeks, persuading MPs and the public to join the energy revolution.

Friends of the Earth recently launched a campaign promoting renewable energy as a clean and long lasting energy supply.

Last year the UK signed up to a European target to produce 15% of energy from renewable sources by 2020.

Local groups around the country are campaigning to ensure the Government doesn't wriggle out of its committments.
