Our local groups have been building up the pressure to make renewables the number one source of energy in the UK.
Greenwich and Lewisham Friends of the Earth with the owners of the Degustation deli in Brockley.
They've been getting the message out to local businesses, organisations and MPs all over the country.
Political backing
Sutton Friends of the Earth met with their local MP, Tom Brake, to pass on all the messages of support from their community.

Joined forces
East Kent Friends of the Earth have been working alongside Dover Christian Aid. They handed over postcards to Gwyn Prosser MP in Dover.
Together they've urged their MP to back an energy revolution in the UK.
Along with Dover Christian Aid we're asking the Government to deliver on its promise to provide 15% of Britain's energy from renewable sources by 2020.

What's next?
The Government is set to publish its Renewable Energy Strategy in July 2009.
Friends of the Earth believes that this strategy needs to be strong and sustainable in order to deliver on the UK's renewable energy targets.
