A Midsummer night's dream comes true, Tesco joins the roundtable

On the longest day of the year, Tesco announced that they intend to join the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).

This is something they had long refused to do, even after the palm oil day of action last October.

Their decision follows lots of press attention and an email action in June where Friends of the Earth activists bombarded Tesco's customer services asking them to join.

Well done to everyone who has supported this campaign and those who have helped pressure Tesco to join the RSPO.

Let's get the rest of them to join too.

Stop press...

A little less conversation, a little more action
Success - after 2 years of campaigning, finally, all of the UK's major supermarkets have now joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. Will their actions speak louder than words?
