Samsung admits using Bangka tin - will Apple?19 April 2013
Thanks to your messages we've forced Samsung to take a long, hard look at its supply chain. Now it's time for Apple to play catch-up.
Nearly 16,000 of you asked Samsung whether its smartphones contained tin that's destroying forests, coral reefs and livelihoods.
The world's biggest-selling smartphone brand has now written to customers admitting that it uses tin from the Indonesian island of Bangka.
And it's also publicly committed to find an industry-wide solution to end the damage.
Will Apple reveal all?
It's fantastic that Samsung is facing up to problems in its supply chain. But Apple - Samsung's fiercest rival - is still refusing to answer your questions.
Apple is already playing catch-up on the high street in terms of smartphone sales - it's time it followed Samsung's lead by coming clean about its whole supply chains too.

Your messages can force Apple to tell the truth about the tin in its phones too.
Please ask Apple to come clean about whether it uses tin from Bangka in its smartphones.
