Enticing prizes24 August 2011
Sevenoaks Friends of the Earth have had a busy summer running stalls at local events, even managing two fairs in one weekend.
They've been talking to the public about our Big Energy Conversation.
As an extra incentive to entice members of the public to their stall and fill in a survey, the group created a beautiful hamper full of locally sourced and fair trade goodies, including:
- Home-made honey
- Locally grown eggs
- Home-made chutney
- Local apple juice
Group members donated items for the hamper. The prize was raffled off to one lucky winner who completed the Energy Survey.
The hamper was a good incentive - it was won by a deserving elderly local smallholder who had just had some of her chickens poached by a fox

Staying on the local food theme, the group plans to approach local food producers for their opinions on renewable energy. They're also organising a picnic in a local orchard as a social event.
