A night of music in Stockport15 April 2011
Stockport Friends of the Earth and the renowned Amaretti Chamber Orchestra are putting on a concert, with proceeds going to Friends of the Earth.
This exciting event will be held at St. Andrew's Church in Cheadle Hulme on Saturday 7 May at 7.30pm.
The Amaretti Chamber Orchestra is a small string orchestra established in 2004, made up of experienced amateurs, music teachers and professional players. They have a varied repertoire - from Bach to Britten.
The programme for the evening will include Walter Leigh's Concertino for Harpshichord (with soloist Charlotte Turner), Handel's Concerto Grosso for Strings and Harpsichord Op. 6 no. 4, and Walters' Divertimento for Strings.
