Welcome to the Thanksgiving turkey gallery!

Spot the turkey!

The US Government filed a complaint with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) regarding the European Union's policy on GM food in May 2003.

Friends of the Earth believed that it was just the latest Bush government-led attempt to bulldoze over other countries' rights to protect their people and the environment.

So we gave you the chance to Bite back! at Bush.

A turkey tradition

Thanksgiving (25th Nov) is a major US national holiday when families come together for a meal celebrating food, family, freedom and survival.

It's common for school children to make turkey cards for Thanksgiving using their hand as an outline.

As Bush's thoughts turned towards food at Thanksgiving 2004, you used the occasion to remind him that you didn't want his GM food by sending him your own turkey card. The Thanksgiving turkey gallery shows a selection of the turkeys emailed to Bush.

All the paper turkeys people made were handed in to the US Embassy on 24 November 2004.
