They Think It's All Over 1 September 2006
This week at the Labour Party Conference's Climate Clinic, the best environmental, political and journalistic brains pitted their wits against each other.
Their starter for ten:
Q. Who has the most environmentally friendly house?
a) George W. Bush
b) Al Gore
Just who would come out on top in Friends of the Earth's The Big Ask Climate Quiz?
David Miliband, Secretary of State for Environment
With Friends of the Earth's The Big Ask campaign in full flow, three teams representing 'Energy', the 'Environment' and 'Development' were quizzed on all things related to climate change.
Would Environment Minister David Miliband's team triumph?

Newsnight's 'Ethical Man', Justin Rowlatt played host to proceedings.
"Psst, the answer is renewable energy..." Friends of the Earth boss, Tony Juniper teams up with David Miliband MP, Secretary of State for the Environment.
Janet Street Porter
It's not looking good for the 'Development' team as the mini Gareth Thomas MP is partially submerged.

The Energy team - Friends of the Earth's Sarah Clifton, Malcolm Wicks MP and Sky News' Adam Bolton, hold their own in the quiz.

But after some highly dubious scoring from the umpire - it's the 'Development' team made up of Janet Street Porter, Gareth Thomas MP and Catherine Pearce that snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and win the quiz.
The quiz is featured on Newsnight on September 26th edition - which can be viewed online for the next few days from 'previous programmes' on the Newsnight site.
