Thom Yorke, lead singer of Radiohead, has been to see his MP - Dr. Evan Harris. Thom asked his MP to support calls for a Climate Change Bill to be included in the Queen's Speech.

Thom has been an outspoken voice in recent years on the need for urgent action to curb climate change. Earlier this year he supported The Big Ask campaign by playing a benefit gig at London KoKo.
As individuals there is a tendency to feel powerless when confronted with big issues such as climate change. But there is something we can all do. By writing to or visiting our MP we can make sure our voices are heard.

As a result of the meeting Dr. Harris agreed to write to Tony Blair and the Environment Minister David Milliband. In his letter he outlined the case for a Climate Change Bill.
Many of my constituents - including Thom - share the view that much more needs to be done if we are going to avoid dangerous climate change.
The majority of MPs, the Liberal Democrats and all opposition parties support the introduction of a climate change bill in the Queen's Speech. There is no reason to delay this crucial piece of legislation.

Although The Big Month is now over, the push for an adequate climate change bill continues.
We need year-on-year cuts in carbon dioxide emissions, policies to make the cuts a reality, and ways of keeping the Government on track. With your help over the coming year we can do this.
