Fresh thinking on democracy, finance and banks.
Following the success of the Just Banking conference in April 2012, plans are underway for a major conference on financial reform in London this spring.
The event will offer a much-needed space to explore how we can make our financial institutions more accountable and resilient, and get finance to work for people and planet.
Speaking will be leading economists, campaigners and policymakers. They'll discuss:
- How to get finance flowing into projects with long term social and environmental value
- How to avoid asset price bubbles, debt crises and state bailouts of financial institutions.
We're expecting discussions to be lively, solutions-focussed and accessible to the non-expert.
Right now we're busy pulling together a coalition of think tanks and social justice NGOs to support the event, and funders to help make it happen.
