ONE-MINUTE FILM
COMPETITION 2008

Friends of the Earth’s one-minute film competition 2008 is now open, in association with Filminute

This year we’re asking Which bit of the Earth are you a Friend of?

Any place can tell a story. It could be a shoe box under your stairs that smells of summer; a tree on the village green with a gnarled smile; a skate park where you first mastered a kick flip; waves crashing against the shore at your favourite part of the coast.

Your favourite spot might not be leafy or wild – perhaps it’s made of concrete but the people there inspire you.

We’d like to see passion for your bit of the Earth woven into your film. It can be anything from an action movie to a rom com to a documentary, but it must be just 60 seconds long – no more and no less.

It might be tricky to squeeze all that emotion into one minute, but with a killer idea, you can do it.

Your film will be judged by a high profile panel including Trainspotting Producer Andrew MacDonald and David Sproxton of Aardman Animation and some great prizes are up for grabs.
