MASSED ANNE ROBINSONS LASH NEW YORK FAT CATS

30 Jan 2002

Friends of the Earth will be challenging multi-national corporations to play the Weakest Link in New York at the World Economic Forum tomorrow.

As more than 1,000 business leaders meet with leading politicians from around the world to discuss their vision for a shared future, Friends of the Earth will ask which corporations are the Weakest Links to improving the state of the world.

Inspired by the TV hit quiz show, Anne Robinson look-a-likes will be firing questions at the world's corporations to eliminate the weakest links.

The corporate quiz will query the WEF participants' records on environmental damage, social injustice and political payoffs as part of a call for global rules for corporations, which will strengthen accountability, protect the rights of citizens and communities, and put the environment before profit.
