In October 2014, East Riding  of Yorkshire Council considered an application from Rathlin Energy to extend the time allowed to explore for shale gas at Crawberry Hill in the Yorkshire Wolds. This document is Freinds of the Earth's response to that application. Permission has been granted to Rathlin for a further 12 months of exploration with six months to clear up the mess they've made.
