Does Friends of the Earth support more flights in Yorkshire and the Humber?

Friends of the Earth does not support a development plan for more flights in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Throughout the Regional Spatial Strategy consultation we have called for the restriction on aviation growth.

We also led the campaign to oppose the opening of Robin Hood airport near Doncaster.

Friends of the Earth is a member of AirportWatch which opposes policies to expand aviation.

Aviation is the UK's fastest growing source of climate changing gases. Friends of the Earth is calling for aviation emissions to be included in the Climate Change Bill.

The Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) - is a 15 year development plan for Yorkshire and the Humber.
