What can I do if my MP won't sign Early Day Motions?22 January 2008
Some MPs do not sign EDMs because of the position they hold.
Most members of the cabinet do not sign EDMs. Please check to see if your MP has signed other EDMs in this session of Parliament - if so you can raise this with them.
If not, you can still ask if your MP agrees with the EDM in principle. For example:
"Thank you for forwarding my letter to the minister of State for the Environment. I would still like to understand your views and whether you support the proposals it includes."
However your MP replies, it does not affect your right to know their position.
