How can I be sure that I am buying fair trade produce?

The Fairtrade Foundation's mark is your guarantee that producers were paid a decent price.

Fairtrade food is also more likely to be environmentally-friendly food. For example, certain pesticides are prohibited from use on produce.

This label covers a range of products from tea and coffee, to chocolate and bananas.

For further details and to check other fairly traded claims made by suppliers and retail outlets, please contact the Fairtrade Foundation.

The Fairtrade Foundation's mark signifies that the price paid to the producers, the conditions of employment and environmental production standards were met.
