Why do we use telemarketing? 4 May 2011
Telemarketing is one of several ways we raise funds for our campaigns. It's a cost-effective means to engage new supporters and update existing ones.
Over 90% of our income is from individual donations. This means embracing all forms of communication to reach different people.
Donating online is the cheapest way for us to receive your contribution but many people still don't have access to the internet.
What to expect
Telephone fundraisers should make it clear which charity they are raising funds for.
If you don't wish to give bank details over the phone you can request a paper form in the post. All direct debits are covered by the direct debit guarantee.
If you have any questions about a call you have received please contact us.
It's your call
We do not 'cold call'. Only those who show interest in our work are contacted. Please use our email form if you do not want to receive our calls.
We are members of the Direct Marketing Association and Institute of Fundraising and follow all best practice guidelines.
