How can Friends of the Earth local groups set up a group website?

Unfortunately, Friends of the Earth does not have the resources to help groups set up their own websites.

However, every registered local group is entitled to their own web page hosted by the Friends of the Earth website. Each group has a web address of www.foe.co.uk/groupname.

This page will be visited by individuals searching the main website for their nearest group.

Each local group's webpage includes postal, phone and email contact details as well as the group's own website if appropriate.

Extra information can be added about the group including:

  • what area it covers
  • when and where it meets
  • what it campaigns on and any upcoming actions.

All of the details can be updated via our online group update page.

Tell others what you've been up to - including campaign successes - at our Local Groups' Activity Table.

It's a great tool to share stories and experiences and find out what other groups in your area are working on.

For more guidance on updating your group's details or adding an entry to the Local Groups' Activity Table, please contact the Activist Information Officer.
