FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

How can I advertise my local event through Friends of the Earth?

Have a look at our Community web site which links from the home page: http://community.foe.co.uk

Community is dedicated to enabling people to campaign. It's a place where people interested in taking action in their local community can find information, tools and resources, and share ideas and opinions with other like-minded people. We hope it will grow and develop into a much-used resource through the involvement of interested people.

One of the things you can share on the Community web site is information about a local, regional or national event. You can post or find out what's going on in your area. If you would like to suggest an event for the calendar please fill in the form with the relevant details:

http://community.foe.co.uk/resource/events/

Recent and upcoming events advertised here include the Big Wheel of Kent Bike Ride, renewable energy weekend courses, the IMF and World Bank anniversary debate and a conference on low-level radiation and health.

The type of events listed on this calendar are pretty varied but should have a regional or national relevance - local events should be publicised in the forum pages instead:

Tell your friends about the Community web site - and give us your feedback. If you are a local campaigner or anyone interested in local events you could help shape it!
