What is The Big Ask? |
The Big Ask is our biggest ever campaign. It's calling for a strong climate change law – one which reduces CO2 emissions by at least 3% year-on-year.
It asks the big questions about climate change and also gives people real solutions.
Over 130,000 people have taken action – asking their MP to back our proposed Climate Change Bill. Now over 400 MPs support the campaign.
In November 2006 a Climate Change Bill was announced in the Queen's Speech. This was a massive success for The Big Ask.
Now we need to make sure that the new Bill is a strong one – comitting the government to annual cuts of carbon dioxide emissions.
We believe this is vital because despite setting long term targets on climate change, the UK’s emissions continue to rise.
