I want to change my career for a more ethical one. What subject should I study to help me find a career in the environment? |
There is a broad range of career opportunities in the environmental field and the skills and experience required vary immensely. Some posts, but not all, call for educational qualifications which can be gained through a wide variety of higher education courses. It is also very useful to have some practical experience.
We can't advise you on which course to take, nor do we have details of courses and jobs in the environment. A professional careers advisor can help and there are some useful publications (see below).
In the meantime, you can get great experience by volunteering at Friends of the Earth, either in one of our offices or through a local group.
