FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

I’d like to donate a couple of shares to you, how can I do this?

That’s great, thank you for thinking of us.

We can benefit from unwanted shares. However, transferring them directly to us creates lots of paperwork and lost hours. We also can't accept shares in some companies.

Solution - Sharegift use the proceeds of donated shares to give to a wide range of UK charities - including Friends of the Earth.

They collect the shares until there are enough to sell on and raise money - particularly useful for shares not normally worth selling.

We’d be extremely grateful if you could contact ShareGift who will sell the shares on your behalf.

It will also stop companies sending out wasteful annual reports that you never read. So dig out those old share certificates.
