
This is a selection of detailed guides that give practical information on to how to run environmental campaigns. They are electronic versions of booklets that are available from the Friends of the Earth shop (others are only available as paper copies, so check the shop for the full list).
The PDF versions here are meant for online reading and to print out relevant pages. We don'recommend printing the entire documents. Please be aware that the file sizes are quite large and might take some time to download.

This book draws on almost 30 years of community-based campaigning experience from Friends of the Earth, and provides anyone who wants to get started with the first steps on how to run, and win, a local campaign.

Filled with all the practical advice you need to help campaign against the incineration of household waste in your area with this campaign guide. The book sets out the reasons why Friends of the Earth opposes incineration and gives details of the procedures and actions required for opposing specific plans.
Saving wildlife sites (PDF - 243K)
This campaign guide gives you all the practical advice necessary to help you campaign for areas at risk. It explains why conserving wildlife is so important, demystifies the often complex legislation and planning processes, and decodes all acronyms of bureaucracy. Invaluable for seasoned campaigners and those just interested in wildlife. There is also an online guide which takes you through the main steps .
