Say 'no' to new coal Gordon Brown recently announced his support for a 'green revolution' for renewable energy. But now the UK Government is considering building eight new coal-fired power stations. Burning coal is one of the biggest causes of climate change, and for our electricity needs, the easiest to avoid. We don't need new coal power stations. We can revolutionise the way we power the UK using the wind, sun, wave and tides to provide a clean, secure energy supply for the UK. The first new coal fired power station is in Kingsnorth in Kent. Send a message to Gordon Brown and say 'no' to new coal. |
