Get climate change in the Planning Bill The new Planning Bill could soon become law and contains no mention of climate change. The Planning Bill will affect all major infrastructure projects such as roads, airports and power stations. It has now been debated in Parliament, and is currently in the House of Lords. In November the Bill will pass back to MPs for the final vote, after which it will become law. These last few months are therefore critical in lobbying MPs and asking them to support our changes to the Bill, and this is our last chance to make it happen. Please write to your MP asking them to support our amendments on climate change. If you or your local group can help us lobby your MP in October, please contact Jenny on 020 7566 1723 or jenny.lopez@foe.co.uk to find out more about how you can take action. |
