Lex: transport policy from the dark ages
27 January 1999
Commenting on the Six Point Transport Plan of Action launched today by motoring services group Lex, Tony Bosworth, Friends of the Earth's Transport Campaigner, said
This is a transport policy from the Dark Ages: more road building and no investment in improving public transport. It won't solve Britain's real transport problems of pollution and congestion. Building more roads will only generate more traffic, making matters worse rather than better. Lex are transport's dinosaurs, sitting obstinately across the road to progress.
