Lancet to publish Pusztai's GM food research

Following reports that research by Dr Arpad Pusztai on GM food is to be published in the Lancet, Pete Riley, Food Campaigner at Friends of the Earth said:
“We are delighted that Dr Pusztai's work on GM food will finally be published in a peer reviewed scientific journal. Jack Cunningham, Sir Robert May and all the other politicians, officials and scientists who tried to rubbish Dr Pusztai and his work owe him a sincere and public apology.
Scientific concerns about the safety of GM foods are clearly real. This is why the Government should call a five year freeze on GM food so that more comprehensive research into this new technology can take place.”
