Launch of 10:10 campaign highlights need for urgent action on climate change

Friends of the Earth welcomed the 10:10 climate campaign which was launched today by the film makers Age of Stupid along with a coalition of media partners and others.
Friends of the Earth's Head of Climate Change, Mike Childs, said:
"Age of Stupid is doing a fantastic job in raising awareness about the need for urgent action on climate change - we welcome the 10:10 initiative and hope that it plays a significant part in slashing UK emissions.
"10:10 is one of a number of innovative campaigns that have been launched in the run up to crucial UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen later this year - it's essential that politicians wake up to the need for urgent action and agree a strong and fair agreement."
