Actor Sean Blowers [Sub Officer John Hallam in LWT's London's Burning]said:

"If it goes ahead this road will destroy some of our most beautiful countryside. I hope that as many people as possible will come to Newbury on Sunday and see for themselves the damage this bypass is already causing. We need to cut the traffic not the trees."

The walk will start at 1pm and will follow approximately 2 miles of the proposed bypass route. There will be a regular coach shuttle service from Newbury railway station between noon and 2pm. Refreshments will be available at the end of the walk from where people will be taken back to the station. Walking boots/wellies are essential. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams.
