Protesters go to department of transport

Outside Department of Transport (Great Minster House, Marsham Street SW1 3:00 pm, Thursday 6 June
Campaigners against the Newbury bypass will be outside the Department of Transport at 3:00 pm today (Thursday) to protest at the Government's decision to proceed with the controversial road despite agreeing to declare part of the route as a Special Area of Conservation. An official announcement is expected this afternoon.
A spokesperson from Friends of the Earth will also attend.
