Marketing has often been identified and criticised by advocates of sustainability for its role in encouraging unsustainable consumption. But marketing is here to stay. So how can it be transformed to be an agent of sustainability? As part of Friends of the Earth’s Big Ideas Project we have been looking at this question.  This briefing argues that such a transformation is possible.
