ASA ruling on climate change adverts
17 March 2010
Responding to the ASA's ruling today on the Government's climate change adverts, Mike Childs, Head of Climate Change at Friends of the Earth, said:
"This isn't the great victory the sceptics may claim - in fact, the ASA said there is a 90 per cent chance that the extreme weather highlighted in the adverts will affect our future.
"If there was nine out of ten chance your house would fall down, you would certainly take action to fix it.
"The Government must be clear with people about the risks of climate change - and the new green jobs and industries we could all benefit from if we took action to tackle it."
