Aviation industry calls for new Govt air strategy
25 June 2012
Responding to the Aviation Foundation's key tests for a successful aviation policy launched today (Monday 25 June), Friends of the Earth London campaigner Jenny Bates said:
"We don't need to build new airports or runways in the south east - the capital already has more flights to the world's main business destinations than any of our European neighbours.
"Creating more capacity will lead to more pollution, more misery for local communities and make it much harder to tackle climate change."
