Friends of the Earth at the Party conferences

This year Friends of the Earth is putting climate change at the top of the agenda at this year's for main party conferences as one of the lead agencies at the Climate Clinic. Friends of the Earth's events at the Climate Clinic - and elsewhere at the conference fringe - are listed below.

Time to Get Real: Avoiding 'dangerous' climate change - what does it really mean for the UK?

Hosted by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research

Speakers:Dr Kevin Anderson (Research Director, Tyndall Centre's Energy and Climate Change Programme); Dr Alice Bows (Senior Research Fellow, Tyndall Centre); Dr Sarah Mander (Deputy Leader, Tyndall Centre's Energy and Climate Change Programme); Mr Richard Starkey (Senior Research Fellow, Tyndall Centre)

Setting out the real world implications of avoiding "dangerous" climate change and argue the policy shifts needed are far more dramatic than the Government is current prepared to acknowledge. Come and get a taste of how a low carbon society might operate in the UK with plenty of opportunity to engage with the Tyndall Centre scientists on how to achieve it.
