Govt Climate Change Advisers report: flood defences have fallen into disrepair under the Coalition
Reacting to the Committee on Climate Change's new report on flooding and climate adaptation, Friends of the Earth Climate Campaigner Guy Shrubsole said:
“Six months on from the wettest winter ever, the Government is still failing flood-risk households.
“This report is a damning indictment of how our flood defences have fallen into disrepair under the Coalition – and how ill-served we are by an Environment Secretary who doesn't believe in man-made climate change.
“David Cameron needs to get serious about the threat of climate change, and give Owen Paterson the boot as soon as possible.”
