Putting climate on the agenda at party conferences

A unique collaboration will see some of Britain's most respected scientists join the country's political and business leaders at this year's party conferences to push for urgent action on climate change.
The Climate Clinic - a conference within a conference - has been organised by a coalition of green groups, businesses and energy saving bodies. The Clinic will set up shop at the Lib Dem, Labour and Conservative conferences and will host everyone from Environment Secretary David Miliband, Tory leader David Cameron, the head of the British Antarctic Survey, as well as speakers from the Tyndall Centre and the Met Office.
All three parties will be challenged to take positive action to tackle the climate threat as top politicians, campaigners, journalists and the general public debate the most pressing issue facing governments today.
Organised by the UK's leading green organisations and supported by business and the Energy Saving Trust, the Climate Clinic will create the opportunity to find out the latest policy and technology solutions to most important issue on the agenda today.

An information point will be available at each Climate Clinic and visitors will be able to check out their own carbon health with the Centre for Alternative Technology's Climate Gym.
