Friends of the Earth Limited works through a unique network of more than 200 local groups.
Each group is an autonomous body and is not run or controlled by the national organisation.
Local groups receive support from the national organisation and are able to use the name Friends of the Earth.
In return, Friends of the Earth has a huge local supporter base which ensures it is a truly representative, grassroots organisation.
