About Us

Thanks to The Bee Cause campaign - and the support of thousands of people like you - a better future is in sight for our bees.

Together, you convinced the Government to to draw up a Bee Action Plan. Now we want to help make each town and city greener and more bee-friendly.

So, here in Newcastle Gateshead Friends of the Earth we are looking for new volunteers to help to grow The Bee Cause on Tyneside.

Environmental issues are being reported on a daily basis, especially leading up to Paris 2015 - the talks on Climate Change this December.

If you want to take action, and help provide solutions with Friends of the Earth, come join our RUN on SUN team to bring Solar Power to Newcastle and Gateshead.

If you're interested in helping create Climate Change awareness activities leading up to Paris 2015 or joining a Climate Change Choir, get in touch too, we have big plans and need your help to implement them.

If you are a person, who in your spare time would like to:

  • Come along to friendly meetings to discuss and decide action together
  • Encourage local people to have more bee-friendly gardens
  • Be involved in fun events like a North East Regional Bee Summit
  • Promote Renewable and Community Energy
  • Build Awareness on Climate Change
  • Promote healthy sustainable lifestyles
  • Contribute their ideas and skills

Could this be you?

To find out more, email us with your name and contact details and we'll be in touch.

You're also invited to our next meeting. We hold them on the second Thursday of the month

7.30pm at Broadacre House, Market St, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear NE1 6HQ
