On 14 October 2017 activists from all over the world will be joining in on a day of action on climate change. From groups fighting giant oil companies in Africa, to communities already feeling the impact of rising sea levels, the whole of Friends of the Earth’s global community will unite for a day of action. Our message to the world: keep fossil fuels in the ground. It’s our best hope of stopping the most devastating consequences of climate change. Around the world the Friends of the Earth community will be focusing on standing together to fight fossil fuel projects, defending the places they love.
Oxford Friends of the Earth and the Oxfordshire Climate Action Network are planning to participate in the international day of action. If you would like to get involved please contact us.
Fracking is the biggest threat in terms of new fossil fuel projects In the UK. And right now we have a chance to stop fracking projects in their tracks. If Greg Clark, the Energy Minister says no to fracking applications, they won’t go ahead. So we need thousands of people out there piling the pressure on Greg Clark to say no to fracking. Please sign the petition here and share, thanks.
