Bees & Flowers Walk at Milham Ford Nature Park
Location: Marston Road, Oxford, OX3 0FL (13/X13 buses stop close by. Car parking is limited)
Time: 11 am – 12.30 pm
This free educational walk, led by Ecologist Dr Judy Webb, will focus on looking at which flowers different types of bees (and other pollinators) are using and explaining the features of each flower.
Following the walk, there will be an opportunity to collect Yellow Rattle wildflower seed to use in gardens or wildlife areas. Please bring your own bag.
Yellow rattle is an excellent bee food flower as well as having a beneficial effect of reducing the vigour of grass in any wildflower meadow patch, which allows other nectar-rich flower species to thrive.
Event organised by Friends of Milham Ford Nature Park and Oxford Friends of the Earth.
