14,000 people call for a frack free Lancashire

Lancashire Country Council has been flooded with an unprecedented number of fracking objections. So many in fact that we think it’s a new record.

In just 6 weeks, over 14,000 objections have been made to fracking proposals at the villages of Roseacre and Little Plumpton.

There is huge opposition in the UK to fracking. As demonstrated by the huge stack of objections Frack Free Lancashire and Friends of the Earth delivered to Lancashire County Council.

Over 5000 objections were collected by Frack Free Lancashire. These were added to the 9,000 from Friends of the Earth supporters.

The objections ask the council to reject the proposals on grounds of health, local environment, air and water pollution and climate change.

I'm concerned for generations to come, fracking will risk our health and the environment. I don't want this on anybody's back door.

Lancashire County Council are due to make their decision on both sites in November.

In the meantime, please sign our petition asking David Cameron to stop fracking in the UK
